Congratulations on your new glasses!
Whether this is your first or fiftieth pair of prescription glasses, this is an exciting occasion!
What To Expect
The best way to acclimate to your new prescription is to wear your new glasses continuously.
Though it may be tempting, we advise against switching between wearing old glasses and new glasses, as it lengthens the adjustment period.
Over the next week or two, your eyes will gradually adjust, and you may experience slight eye strain or headaches.

Maintenance
Fashion Eye provides lens spray and microfiber cleaning cloths so you can clean your glasses properly anywhere. You can also clean your glasses with Dawn dish soap. Any other cleaning products – or rubbing your lenses dry – run the risk of damaging the lenses.
To maintain the longevity of your lenses, never wipe your lenses on your clothing or any paper products (paper towels, tissues, napkins) – these materials are not made to resist debris and can scratch your lenses. You can hand-wash your microfiber cleaning cloths with Dawn dish soap, or we can replace them anytime.
For even better longevity, bring your glasses back to Fashion Eye regularly (every three to six months) for maintenance adjustments and upkeep – you don’t need an appointment, and this typically takes only about ten minutes.
For more detailed maintenance instructions, check out this article from our preferred lens lab, Hoya.

Warranty
Fashion Eye is proud to honor all manufacturer and insurance warranty policies - these typically specify a one-year limit for wear-and-tear related damage only, and that all damaged parts must be returned for exchange, but if you have any questions about your own eyewear, please give us a call for details.
For smaller issues, like a lost nosepad or a loose screw, chances are we can fix it in-office. If you need a repair, stop in or give us a call with any questions.
